Derwent watercolor pencils on Sennelier Carte d'Art

On a recent trip out of town, my wife stopped off in a local arts store and picked me out a little present, Derwent watercolor pencils and a small Sennelier Carte d' Art pad. When things have been a little dull during football on the tube—and during commericals—I've been trying them out, using them to keep myself entertained. 

The pencils have proved to be quite rich in color (dry or wet), smooth, and easy to sharpen with a standard sharpener. Also, they seem to hold up to some extra pressure.The paper has proved excellent for light or rough treatment and splashy applications of water gives nice effect. 

I also have some Derwent Inktense pencils and you could certainly mix and match with there watercolor pencils for a bit of different effect if you wished.
